How To Grow Blue Flax From Seed: Blue Flax does best when started outdoors when risk of hard frosts have passed. Sow a pinch of seeds in each spot in the garden that you would like it to grow, and cover them lightly with soil. Keep the area where the seed is sown moist if there is not much rain falling. Blue Flax does not require much more than this, it can handle growing in bad ground.
If you choose to start Flax earlier indoors, transfer the seedlings into larger pots before the roots become too big, the roots do not like being disturbed.
