Description: Mallow Mauritanica is a firm, branching plant with big, purple, dark veined flowers. Even when the flowers fade, the seed capsules are beautiful to look at and resemble a cheese wheel. Mallow flowers can be used as cut flowers, and it is also highly beneficial to bees, butterflies and other pollinators.

How To Grow Mauritanica Mallow From Seed: Mallow seeds can be sown directly in place from April to June. They can also be started earlier indoors to get a head start on the growing season.
Sow the seeds evenly in pots, seed starting modules or directly into your flower bed. Thin out the seedlings once they become established, and plant them in their final spot, 40cm apart.
Alternatively, plant the seeds in Autumn directly into your flower bed for an early flower display the following year.
Mallow is also a highly beneficial pollinator that is extremely popular with bees.
