How To Grow Sweet William From Seed: Sweet William can be directly seeded into your flower garden. Sow seeds outdoors from May to July to produce flowers from June to September of the following year.
Sweet William likes full sun, but it will tolerate partial shade. It prefers rich, well drained soil.
A quicker way of growing it is to plant your seeds in Winter/Spring, indoors, 6 to 8 weeks before the last frost date. Then transplant outside once the risk of frost has passed. Plants should then flower during summer in the same year as planting.
If Sweet William is not dead headed, it will reseed itself for the following year.
Seed count is approximate.
