How To Grow Tigerella Tomatoes From Seed: Tigerella Tomato seeds can be sown indoors in pots or seedling modules as early as February. They can be planted directly outside in pots from Late April onwards.
Sow 1 seed in each cell/pot. When the seedlings get to about 8cm tall, they can be replanted into larger pots. Tomatoes need heat, and do best in greenhouses. If growing them outside, put them in a warm, sunny area of the garden. Do not put them uncovered outside until all frost risk has passed.
Tomato plants will need to be supported by a stake or something similar, to help the plant grow upwards and bear the fruit. Tigerella turns a light green with dark green stripes, then as it ripens, they turn red with orange stripes. Harvest all of the fruit before the first frost in Autumn.
Seed count is approximate.
