Description: Beetroot Chioggia is an old Beetroot variety that originates in the Italian village of Chioggia. The inside of the Chiogga Beetroot has beautiful red-white rings and a soft sweet taste. It can be eaten raw, so the nice colour of the beetroot can be seen on your dish.

How To Grow Tondo di Chioggia Beetroot From Seed: Sow the seeds in a prepared drill, planting 2 seeds together every 10cm. Cover with soil. When the seedlings establish, thin to leave only the strongest seedling in place. Keep the growing site weed free.
Your beetroot will be ready to harvest when the roots are somewhere between the size of a golf ball and a tennis ball.
If you have limited space, this round beetroot can also be grown in pots.
Sow in succession every couple of weeks to have a steady harvest throughout the year.
