Description: Nantes 2 carrots produce really nice cylindrical carrots. If you thin down the seedlings, and leave a wider than recommended spacing, the carrots will grow larger. This variety of carrot produces nice cylindrical carrots with a sweet taste. Planting can take place as late as August for this variety.

How To Grow Nantes Carrot From Seed: Carrots do best in a deep, rich, fine soil. First sowings can be done from March onwards, undercover in a greenhouse or polytunnel for an early crop. Seeds can be sowed directly outdoors from May onwards. Planting can take place as late as August for this variety.
When sowing; sprinkle the seed evenly into shallow drills and cover with fine soil. Thin the seedlings as they grow to leave a distance of 5 to 6cm. Be sure to keep the plot free from weeds. Early undercover sowing will be ready around July. Late sowings will be ready from September onwards.
