How To Grow White Swan Echinacea From Seed: Echinacea can be planted directly outdoors in your desired location in Autumn/Winter. This allows the seeds to be exposed to the cold of winter which is thought to help them germinate better the next spring.
Alternatively, seeds can be started indoors in Spring/Summer. To improve the germination of your seeds, mimic the cold the seeds would naturally receive outside over Winter. Do this by mixing your seeds with some damp growing medium, put the mix in a plastic bag and put it in the fridge. Leave it there for 4 to 8 weeks. Then plant the seeds in pots or directly outside and cover with 1.5cm of soil.
White Swan can grow to 1 metre in height, and it gives off a nice honey scented fragrance.
