How To Grow Leek Microgreens: Place a tray with holes inside a tray with no holes. Fill the tray with holes with 1 inch of fine compost. Compact the compost. Spread the Leek microgreen seeds evenly over the compost, leaving not much space between each seed, Leek should be seeded densely. Press the seeds into the soil. Water the seeds and soil. Place a tray with no holes on top of the seeds and soil. Add roughly 2kg of weight into the tray, so the seeds are kept pressed into the soil.
After 7 - 8 days the Leek microgreens will be growing under the weighted tray. Remove the weighted tray, and water from the top. Turn another tray with no holes upside down and place it over the tray of Leeks, so it will act as a dome, this will help them grow taller.
On day 9 - 10 remove the dome, and place them under a grow light, onto a window sill, or into light in a greenhouse. Water every second day by pouring water into the bottom tray with no holes, until day 13 - 14.
Harvest all of the microgreens using a sharp knife or scissors. Store the harvested microgreens in the refrigerator.
