Description: Chocolate Bell Pepper is an heirloom variety. It gets its name from the colour of the pepper it produces, rather than the taste of the pepper! It is a very productive variety that produces very tasty bell peppers.

How To Grow Chocolate Bell Pepper From Seed: Bell Peppers do best when grown in pots in a greenhouse as they require plenty of heat. Sow in small pots or seedling modules. Sow 1 - 2 seeds per pot/cell. Cover lightly with compost and keep moist. 

Germination is most successful at temperatures of 22°C or above. A heat mat or heated propagator may be needed to achieve this. Germination can take up to 3 weeks.

Once the seedlings have emerged and developed their first true leaves, pot them on into larger containers. Continue moving them into bigger pots as the plants grow. 

After the plant flowers, the peppers will start to grow. They will turn from green to chocolate brown as they ripen. They can be harvested once they are fully developed, even while still green.
