Description: Black Krim is a rare heirloom tomato variety that comes from the Isle of Krim in the Black Sea off the coast of the Crimean Peninsula. It is also known as Black Crimea Tomato.
It is an indeterminate Beefsteak variety that produces large red/brown/purple fruits that can be various shapes and sizes. It is one of the most popular heirloom tomato varieties around due to its great flavour.

How To Grow Black Krim Tomatoes From Seed: Black Krim Tomato seeds can be sown in small pots or seedling modules, indoors in early Spring. They can be planted directly outside in pots from April onwards. Plant two seeds in each pot/cell. When the seedlings establish, thin to leave only the strongest one in each cell/pot.
When seedlings get to about 8cm tall, they can be planted into larger pots.
For the best results, grow Black Krim tomato in a greenhouse or polytunnel as this variety needs a lot of heat to thrive. The hotter the conditions, the deeper the colour of the tomatoes. If growing them outside, put them in a warm sunny area of the garden.
Plants will need to be supported by a stake or something similar to help the plant grow upwards and bear the fruit.
