Grüne Juteschnur - 250g

Many years ago, when I was a teenager, I worked on a farm and we'd have rolls of twine that both bundled up bales of hay and that we would use to tie things up. Strength including knot strength and the ability to not fray easily when cut was important.

Over the years, it's been harder and harder to find such quality twine. Often, I receive suggestions to use artificial twine or other types of gimmicky things to stake up plants. I've been disappointed in those.

This Jute twine that I discovered at Seeds Ireland is more than satisfactory. While strength is important, knot strength is even more important and this twine reminds me of the good old fashioned quality that was more common back then. Importantly, when it is cut with a knife, it does not fray like so many other 2 and 3 ply twines on the market today.

The other thing I like about it is that unlike some of the products sold today, this is totally bio-degradable. I can leave it on the garden without worrying about whether it will break down or not - it will break down biologically.

If you value the "old fashioned" quality, this is definitely a product you will enjoy to use. On my next order of seeds from Seeds Ireland, I'll likely purchase at least one more of this product just to have some with me in my vehicle for any time I might need to have a strong twine for something or other. There are so many uses for this product!
