How to Grow Allium christophii Bulbs in Ireland

Plant Allium christophii bulbs in autumn for spectacular summer blooms. This bee-friendly bulb is perfect for Irish gardens, thriving in well-drained soil and full sun.

  • Planting Depth: 10–15 cm deep

  • Spacing: 20–30 cm apart (to allow room for large flower heads)

  • Soil: Well-drained, moderately fertile soil

  • Sunlight: Full sun

  • Blooming Time: June to July

  • Height: 50cm

  • Growing Tip: Combine with low-growing perennials to hide the foliage, which dies back after flowering. Leave spent flower heads in place for structural interest or dry them for indoor decoration.
