How To Grow Green Calabrese Broccoli From Seed: Green Calabrese Broccoli can be started inside from March. Using seedling modules or small pots, sow a pinch of Broccoli seed in each cell/pot. When the seedlings establish, thin to leave only the strongest one in each cell/pot. Transplant seedlings to their final spot when the risk of frost has passed.
Alternatively, sow directly outside in shallow drills when the risk of frost has passed. Sprinkle the seed thinly in the drills, and cover with 1cm of soil. When the seedlings establish, thin to leave only the strongest plant every 50cm.
Harvesting should be done just before the plant's yellow flowers bloom.
Seed count is approximate.
