How To Grow Consolida ajacis from Seed: Using seedling modules or small pots, sow 2 seeds in each cell/pot. When the seedlings establish, leave only the strongest one in each cell/pot. Germination can take 2 to 3 weeks. Transplant outside when frost risk has passed. Give each plant 20cm of space.

Alternatively, plant directly in the garden in late Spring/early Summer or in Autumn. Autumn sown seeds will flower in the following year.

Consolida ajacis can grow up to 1 metre in height. Its blossoms are highly attractive to bees, butterflies and other pollinators. It makes a lovely cut flower.
