Seed Origin: Germany
Sowing: March to June or September to October
Flowering: May to August
How To Grow Lupins From Seed: Start Lupin seeds inside at room temperature. Soak the seeds for 12 hours before sowing. Using seedling modules or small pots, sow 1 seed in each cell/pot. Germination should take place after 2 to 3 weeks if kept at room temperature. Keep the compost moist throughout germination.
When the seedlings are large enough to handle, transplant them into larger pots, or transplant them directly to their final place in the garden when frost risk has passed.
Alternatively, sow Lupin seeds in Autumn and keep the young seedlings under cover over Winter for early flowering plants the following year.
This mix of Lupin seed will produce plants that have flowers in a variety of colours. The flowers can grow to almost 1 metre in height.
