Seed Origin: Holland
Sowing: March to May
Harvesting: July to October
How To Grow Rosemary From Seed: Using seedling modules or small pots, sow a decent pinch of seed in each cell/pot. Rosemary seeds have sporadic germination, so it is best to use a little more seed than normal. Press the seeds into damp compost, but do not cover them, as they need light to germinate. Germination can take between 2 and 5 weeks. Keep moist throughout. When the seedlings establish, thin to leave only the strongest one in each cell/pot.
Transplant out to the garden, or into large pots when they are 7-10cm tall and frost risk has passed.
Harvest the sprigs throughout the summer as you need them. If trimming your Rosemary in the future, do it in late Spring, and don’t trim it too aggressively.
Seed count is approximate.
