Name: Broad Bean: Ratio

Latin Name: Vicia faba

Description: Broadbean Ratio is an early and very productive variety of broadbean. It has a branching habit which means it doesn't get too tall. It has great flavour. Broad Beans are also known as Fava Beans.

Seed Origin: Netherlands

Sowing: February to May

Harvesting: May to August

How To Grow Broadbean Ratio From Seed: For an early crop, start inside from February to April in pots/seedling modules. Sow 1 seed per pot. Transplant seedlings to their final place in April.

Alternatively, sow directly outside in drills, leaving a spacing of 15cm between seeds.

Broadbean Ratio is a fast growing, early cropper. It is also a low growing crop thanks to its bunching habit.

Seed count is approximate.
