How To Grow Fire Tongue Bean From Seed: Start indoors in April, or sow directly outside from May. For indoor sowing, using a seedling module or small pots, sow one seed per cell/pot. Transplant outside once all risk of frost has passed.

For outdoor sowing, sow in the plants intended place, leaving 15cm between seeds. 

Make sure the plants are well watered, as this bean variety has shallow roots.

The beans will be ready to harvest when they are the same speckled colour as the pod that holds them.
