How To Grow Clematis From Seed: Using seedling modules or small pots, sow 1 seed in each cell/pot. Cover lightly with compost and keep them damp. Keep at room temperature. Germination can take 2 to 4 weeks.

After the seedlings have established, transplant out to the garden or into large pots when frost risk has passed.

Alternatively, sow in Autumn and keep the seedlings in a greenhouse over Winter for planting out in the following Spring.
