How To Grow Crested Prickly Poppy From Seed: Crested Prickly Poppy does best when started outdoors when risk of hard frosts have passed. Sow a pinch of seeds in each spot in the garden that you would like it to grow, and cover them lightly with soil. Keep the area where the seed is sown moist if there is not much rain falling. Crested Prickly Poppy does not require much more than this, it can handle growing in bad ground.
To keep the plants spread in control, remove the flower dead heads to prevent it from self seeding.
