How To Grow Tanja Cucumber From Seed: Cucumber Tanja can be started indoors from March. Using small pots or a seedling module, sow one seed per cell/pot. When the seedlings are established and frost risk has passed, transplant them to their final spot. Cucumber seeds need heat to germinate. Temperatures of 20 degrees or above are ideal. A heat mat can be used to help acheive this.
Alternatively, so directly outside from May onwards.
Cucumbers enjoy heat and will grow best in a greenhouse/polytunnel. It will also benefit if the vines are supported, this helps the fruits to hang, and grow straight.
Start picking the cucumbers when they become 10-15 centimetres in length. Frequent harvesting will keep the plant productive.
