Harvesting: September to November
How To Grow Yorokobi Pak Choi From Seed: Sow the seed directly outdoors in well prepared ground from September to November. Sprinkle seed thinly in drills 30cm apart, and thin as necessary to leave up to 30cm between the plants.
Pak Choi is fast growing and can be cut 4 to 6 weeks after planting. Succession planting will give you a longer season. Undercover sowing can also extend the growing season.
Harvest by cutting the whole plant at the base with a sharp knife. Plants are very cold tolerant, but Pak Choi will not survive a heavy frost.
Alternatively, grow Pak Choi for its baby leaves. This is a good choice to grow for baby leaves in Autumn/early Winter.
