How To Grow Pink Annual Sage From Seed: Start Annual Sage indoors from March to April. Using seedling modules or small pots, sow a pinch of seed in each cell/pot. When the seedlings establish, thin to leave only the strongest one in each cell/pot. Transplant out to the garden when frost risk has passed, leaving a spacing of 20cm between each plant.
Alternatively, sow directly outside from late April to May when the risk of frost has passed.
Pink Annual Sage makes a beautiful cut flower. Cutting the flowers from the plant will encourage it to grow more. It is a very attractive plant to bees. Also well known by its old latin name Salvia horminum.
