How To Grow Coriander From Seed: Coriander can be grown year round in pots on your window sill. Coriander does best if it is planted in the pot or place in the garden that it is intended to stay. Coriander does not take well to transplanting. Sow seeds 4cm apart. Thin seedlings when established to leave 20cm between each plant.

When the plants are big enough to cope with cutting (roughly 40cm to 60cm tall), harvest the leaves and stems as you need them. Sowing successionally every few weeks will ensure you have a constant supply of fresh coriander.

Remove flowers as they appear to promote and prolong leaf production and stop the plants running to seed, unless the seeds are what you are trying to produce.

Coriander needs plenty of water in dry periods. It also does better out of full sun, as hot and dry conditions promote it to run to seed.
