How To Grow Red Veined Sorrel Microgreens: Red Veined Sorrel does best grown in small pots, 7-10cm in diameter. Fill the small pots up with soil. Compact the soil, and water it to make it damp. Take a pinch of red veined sorrel seed in your finger tips and spread it evenly over the compost. Very lightly cover the seed with soil. Mist the soil to make it damp.
Red veined sorrel seed takes quite a while to germinate, keep the top of the compost damp with a mister bottle until the seeds have germinated.
After 10 to 12 days, place the pots under a grow light, onto a window sill, or into light in a greenhouse. Water every third day until the leaves are ready to harvest.
Red veined sorrel is usually ready to harvest after 3 weeks, leaving it to grow longer will give you a bigger, more veiny leaf. Harvest the leaves as you need them.
